Our Company and it’s history
The Survey Association Ltd. of Copenhagen dates back to 1806, when the first surveyor was appointed by the first privately owned marine insurance company, established in 1786.
The Survey Association was established under its present name in 1914 in order to provide the necessary technical expertise to the leading Danish Hull and Cargo Underwriters.

Kongelige Octroiede SøAssurance company was abolished and ownership of the Survey Association was divided between Den Kjøbenhavnske Søassuranceforening and De private Assurandører
1975
Merged into Danish Marine Insurance Co.
1981
Danish Marine Insurance company and Survey Association Ltd merged into Hafnia Insurance Co
1993
Codan Insurance bought Hafnia incl. Survey association Ltd
2004
Survey Association Ltd. represented in Gothenburg (and in Stockholm until 2009)
2005
Survey team from TopDanmark Marine & Industrial incorporated in to the Survey Association Ltd team
2007
Survey Association Ltd represented in Helsinki (until 2010)

Survey Association Ltd represented in Singapore

Survey Association Ltd is nominated global partner to the RSA Group
