Cooperation agreement with Hovedstadens Beredskab / Greater Copenhagen Fire Department

25 August 2025

We are proud to have entered into a cooperation agreement with the Greater Copenhagen Fire Department, formalising our role as a provider of technical expert assistance in maritime incidents occurring in ports and on board vessels.

The agreement ensures that the emergency services have 24/7/365 access to specialised advice from our team, with a focus on:

  • Ship technical assessments and stability analyses
  • Advice on access routes, risk areas, and dangerous goods
  • Communication with the vessel’s command structure and owners’ representatives
  • Assistance in the event of oil spills or other pollution incidents
  • Advice regarding mooring and towing operations

We regard this as a strong vote of confidence and an important recognition of the expertise that has been at the core of our work for more than 100 years.

The collaboration is a good example of how public and private organisations can strengthen one another when it comes to safety, coordination, and risk management within the maritime emergency response sector.

Our thanks to the Greater Copenhagen Fire Department for a constructive process and a strong partnership. We look forward to contributing whenever the need arises.
