Maersk Tankers and Survey Association have agreed to conduct a Proof of Concept of remote surveying, with the objective of validating the application potential on Maersk Tankers' vessels of a remote survey App for reporting marine incidents and vessel condition assessments.
"The SA Remove platform is to support the vessels in reducing the administrative burden, lessen the operations disruption from external surveyors and provide owners and Insurance companies with fast First Notification of Loss" says Henrik Uth, CEO of Survey Association.
Tommy Thomassen, Maersk Tankers' Chief Technical Officer says : "We're looking forward to test the platform and to validate the value to our onboard operations, as well as to our interaction with Marine Insurers for Loss Prevention and Mitigation purposes"
