Survey Association of 1914 has joined Solis Marine Consultants’ global Alliance network, further expanding the Group’s presence in Northern Europe.
While the two businesses remain fully independent, under the terms of the alliance Survey Association will provide Solis Marine with additional local surveying capability in Scandinavia. In return, Solis Marine will support Survey Association with salvage, naval architectural and engineering services on a global basis.
Formed in 1914, Survey Association is headquartered in Copenhagen with representation in Esbjerg, Svendborg and Singapore. The company’s principal areas of business are hull and machinery damage surveys and marine warranty surveys, with a particular focus on the renewables industry. Solis Marine Consultants currently operates out of a network of offices in London, Falmouth, Rotterdam, Singapore and Shanghai.
Survey Association managing director Henrik Uth said: “We’re excited to be part of Solis Marine’s network and to provide them and their clients with strong marine surveying experience in Scandinavia. The win-win is that we gain a global footprint within salvage and engineering capabilities.”
Solis Marine Consultants chairman Nigel Clark said: “I am delighted that Survey Association, with its long history and reputation for providing excellent service, has become the latest marine services business to join our network of Alliance partners. Through the relationship, Solis Marine will have local surveying capability within Scandinavia and additional resources to support, in particular, our hull and machinery damage and marine warranty surveying activities.
“Solis Marine will support Survey Association on a global basis with our salvage and wreck removal consultancy expertise, as well as making available our expert witness, engineering and naval architectural consultancy services. We look forward to working with Henrik and the team at The Survey Association.”
