Danish based Survey Association of 1914 has entered a strategic alliance with Singapore based Techwise Offshore Consultancy Pte. Ltd., to provide Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) services in the Vietnamese offshore wind market.
The alliance will work together to enhance the risk management of offshore wind farm construction projects in Vietnam by building on the two companies’ in-depth marine operations experience.
Survey Association has since the 1990s been involved in offshore wind energy, having acted as MWS on a number of offshore wind projects. “We’re looking forward to share our experience, and the knowledge we have built up in the European and Japanese offshore wind energy sectors, to the benefit of the developing Vietnamese market – helping it to fulfill its potential,” said Henrik Uth, CEO of Survey Association.
As MWS the Alliance’s role is to work with the offshore wind farm construction stakeholders to ensure that the projects follow good industry practice and ensure a reduction of potential risks to an acceptable level. “Our MWS focus is on collaboration and finding pragmatic solutions and we advocate early involvement and a spirit of teamwork in order to deliver a project on time, within budget and with no casualties” tells Henrik Uth.
Techwise Offshore Consultancy is one of the few marine and engineering consultancy firms in Southeast Asia, who have been working on offshore wind farm construction projects since 2017. With an experienced local team based in Vietnam, Techwise has been actively involved in the offshore oil & gas and wind farm construction projects in Vietnam in the past five years.
