We are pleased to welcome Peter de Raaf as Senior Marine Surveyor, based in Indonesia. With over 35 years of technical and operational maritime experience, Peter brings deep industry insight, hands-on engineering knowledge, and a proven track record in vessel compliance, inspection, and project oversight.
Peter is a Chief Engineer by trade and holds a Class 1 Marine Engineer Officer certificate. His career has spanned senior positions at SCHOTTEL, Wärtsilä, and Svitzer (Maersk Group), covering regions from the Middle East and Africa to Asia. He has managed large-scale propulsion projects, led technical fleets, and overseen dry dockings and major vessel modifications.
His areas of expertise include:
- Condition and compliance surveys
- H&M and damage inspections
- Pre-purchase and pre-sale inspections
- Casualty investigations
- Project management of dry-dockings, newbuilds, and complex repairs
